To Panic or Not To Panic….
Monday, October 13th, 2008Last week we saw record low’s in the stock market. Panic has set in. I don’t know anyone who is feeling secure right now. I have been working on my feeligs of financial instability. I have made a decision not to focus on what I am seeing on the television. It is all bad news. And we all know that what we focus on expands. So, if all we do is pay attention to bad news and see collapse and despair everywhere, we will get more of that. What we are seeing is all about scarcity, that there are limited resources. That there is only one pie and that we all have to fight for our little piece of it. I believed that for many years.
When you come from a prosperity consciousness, there is more than one pie. There is unlimited pie. Bob Proctor always says that “when you are dealing with the infinite, you can never take more than your share.” I believe that. In our personal lives, the results that we get are directly correlated to what we had been thinking about up till then. Our thoughts create our feelings which in turn move us into action and create our results. The good news is that we can change our thinking anytime we want to.
The truth of the matter is that we are responsible for our financial futures. I know for myself that I have in the past given that responsibilty away. I was at effect of the job market, what my boss would pay me or who I gave power to control my IRA to. No more. Suze Orman was right! We have to take our financial lives in our own hands. We can do it. No one is going to care more about what happens to you than you. And the truth is, that even in this horrible economy, people will prosper. Why….because they don’t see the glass as half empty, they see opporunities.
So…think about it. You can go on drifting on the sea until you get beached by the economy or you can fight against the tide and look for opportunites that you never saw before.
